Before you look at the Schedule, please take note of this page: 

1.    INTERVIEW- You need to schedule an interview with the Youth Minister. This is to see if the candidate is ready to commit to the Sacrament of Confirmation. This interview should be done sometime in October. Please get in touch with Paul Flagg here: [email protected] to schedule an interview. (Sunday between Masses or Mon-Thurs, 10am-4pm) Also:
a.    Locate your Baptismal record and send it to the Youth Minister
b.    Have an idea of who you want for your Sponsor
c.    Have an idea for your Saint’s name

2.    SPONSOR- You need to select a sponsor. This person must be…
•    At least 16 years old (unless the pastor has granted an exemption for a just cause)
•    A Catholic who has been confirmed and has received the blessed Eucharist
•    Not bound by a canonical penalty (aka, still in communion with the Church)
•    Leading a life of faith befitting the role to be undertaken (for example, regularly attending Sunday Mass; if married, be in a marriage recognized by the Catholic Church etc.)
•    Not a parent of the confirmand.
•    Basically, this person is a practicing Catholic striving for virtue who can accompany you as you walk towards Confirmation 

3.    ATTESTATION FORM- This is the necessary form with information on your selected Sponsor. The link to this form is here: Sponsor Attestation Form Confirmation - English Revision 2024.docx 
a.    Print this form
b.    Have you and your Sponsor fill it out
c.    Bring it in person to the office and have it approved by Father Kevin if your Sponsor attends the parish of St Andrew. If your sponsor attends another parish, their parish priest from their parish must sign the form. 
d.    Give it to the Youth Minister to be filed
e.    Physical copies ONLY
f.    Must be done by February

4.    ATTEND CLASS- The diocesan requirement for Confirmation is 12 hours of class outside of regular Sunday Catechesis. We have Six classes total on selected Sundays at 1pm-3pm. If you miss any of these classes, it may be hard to catch up. Please make sure you can attend. If you are enrolled in Sunday Catechesis, you do not have to attend Sunday Catechesis on the same days we have Confirmation Class.

Parent and Confirmand Orientation 1pm-2:30pm 

2.    SAT, October 17th

Confirmation Retreat @ the Parish + Camp Bethel 

3.    SUN, November 22nd

Class 1pm-2:30pm

4.    SUN, January 17th

Class 1pm-2:30 pm

5.    SUN, February 7th

Class 1pm-2:30 pm

6.    TBD Rehearsal and Mini Retreat (TBD pending Confirmation Date, usually around March-April) 


Classes will be held in either the Youth Room or the Social Hall
