Middle School Youth Group, grades 6th - 8th

What is EPIC?
EPIC is a one-day diocesan event for middle school youth (rising grades 6-8). This event is intended to be a high-energy day that is focused on two things: (1) building community & friendships with other Catholic middle school youth, and (2) encouraging zeal for our Catholic faith. Throughout the day, youth will experience everything from inflatables to a service project, relay races to Mass. Keynote sessions will highlight the lives of young saints and emphasize the universal call to holiness – every age, including middle school youth, is called to sainthood! They will also interact with high school teens who attended Discipleship Week in the days prior to EPIC. At the end of the day, middle school youth will walk away feeling excited about their community and their faith. Join us, it is going to be EPIC!

Who should attend EPIC?
EPIC is open to all youth who will be enrolled in grades 6-8 during the 2026-2027 academic year.

Where and when is EPIC?
EPIC will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Blessed Sacrament Huguenot School in Powhatan, Virginia just outside of Richmond from 11:00am-7:00pm. The address is 2501 Academy Rd, Powhatan, VA 23139.

7:00am arrive at OLN to load the charter bus
11:00am Check-In, Lunch, & Free Time
12:30pm Session #1
1:30pm Relay Races, Service Project (Rise Against Hunger), & Free Time
 4:00pm Session #2
5:15pm Vigil Mass
6:30pm Dinner
7:00pm End
10:00pm arrive back at OLN for pick up

How much is registration and what does this cover?
The participant registration fee is $75 and covers the following:
·       Transportation to and from Epic
·        Admission to EPIC
·       Lunch, Frozen Snack, & Dinner
·        T-Shirt

How do I sign up?
Paper registration copies are available in the Parish Office and outside of the Youth Room.  Please fill out the registration form, and submit with your payment of $75 no later than June 28.  Payment may be made by check to Basilica of St Andrew, or online payment is also accepted under “SPECIAL GIFTS” in the Online Giving on our website.  Please be sure to designate payment as EPIC MIDDLE SCHOOL RALLY in the notes section. Email Paul or Lori if there is a need for scholarship consideration.  There is a limit on the amount of seats we have available on the bus, so early registration is recommended!
